Packet 14 — Recovered Token Handling
Intake procedure for non-Office exchange media recovered during Deployments.
Recovered Token Handling
Operators conducting Surface Deployments, or transiting maintenance corridors, may encounter hand-cast pewter tokens stamped with cell sigils. These are Reclaimer exchange media. The Office does not recognize them as currency. Recognition of currency is the Office's prerogative.
Procedure
- Log. Record recovery location, token count, and Deployment reference.
- Transcribe. Rub each sigil onto a Form R-11 intake sheet. Do not clean the token. Residue is Incidental Documentation.
- Store. Deposit tokens in the Sector B non-currency receptacle. The receptacle is emptied on a schedule.
The number of distinct sigils catalogued to date is ██. Attribution of sigils to their originating cells remains pending. Attribution requires corroborating names from recovered Reclaimer ledgers; after a certain date, the ledgers record dates only. The Office awaits further names.
Operators are reminded that Reclaimers regard Operators as the Office's heirs. The Office considers this designation broadly accurate and thanks the Reclaimers for their continued recognition.
Intake note, 2026-05-19: one token received wrapped in cloth and knotted twice. The cloth has been logged separately.
